PROLED XDR vs the regular M6 MacBook Pro
Apple has not replaced its existing MacBook Pro. The standard 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip launched in India recently and continues as the cheaper, non-touch option with a mini-LED screen. The PROLED XDR models sit above it for professionals who want OLED, touch input and the most memory and graphics power. If you don’t need touch or OLED, the M6 model saves a lot of money.
Who should buy it?
- Buy it if you edit video, grade colour, run large AI models locally, or want the best laptop display Apple has made.
- Skip it if you mainly browse, write or do light editing. The M6 MacBook Pro or a MacBook Air does that for a fraction of the price.
- Wait if you want to see whether touch on macOS actually feels natural. Reviews will arrive around the 9 November availability date.
