What is the difference between the Ace 7 and Ace 7 Pro?
The two phones are almost the same. They differ in only two places:
- Chip: the Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. The Ace 7 uses the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5V, which has a slightly less powerful GPU. Both reach up to 4.6GHz.
- Second camera: the Pro has a 50MP telephoto for zoom and portraits. The Ace 7 has an 8MP ultra-wide for wide landscapes and group shots.
The screen, battery, charging, main camera, cooling and water resistance are identical. The Pro costs CNY 400 (about ₹6,000) more at each matching variant. Pick it if zoom matters to you; pick the Ace 7 if you shoot more wide-angle photos.
Gaming: 185Hz screen and a cooling fan
The Ace series is OnePlus’s gaming line in China, and this generation leans into that. The 185Hz display only reaches its maximum in supported games; it is capped at 165Hz elsewhere. Supported titles can run at up to 185fps, and the phones have dedicated touch, network and display chips under OnePlus’s “Wind Chase Game Core” branding. An active cooling fan inside a regular-sized phone is rare and should help keep frame rates stable during long gaming sessions.
Battery: 9,000mAh with 100W charging
A 9,000mAh battery is among the largest in any mainstream phone, and at about 223–225g the phones are not unusually heavy for that capacity. 100W wired charging should fill a battery this size in roughly an hour, though OnePlus has not shared an official charging time. Wireless charging was not listed.
Will the OnePlus Ace 7 launch in India?
OnePlus has not confirmed an India launch. Earlier Ace models have often reached India under different names, such as an “R” model. Some reports, including Android Authority, see hints of a future OnePlus 16R in the Ace 7 Pro, but this is speculation. If an Indian version arrives, its specifications, especially the battery size, may differ from the Chinese model.
